Our limits

What We Do Not Take On

We fix and replace garage doors and openers. We don't frame new garage openings, and we don't build out a carport or bay that doesn't already exist - that's a contractor job, not ours. We also don't install gate operators or work on anything that isn't a sectional or roll-up garage door and its hardware. If a job needs a permit pull for structural work, we'll tell you that up front instead of taking the money and figuring it out later. A lot of the houses we see around Everett were built between 1968 and 2000, median around 1990, and some of those openings were never squared right to begin with - that's a framing fix, and it's outside what we do. We'd rather send you to the right trade than take on a job we can't finish properly.

Our team

Who Does the Work

Our techs spend most of their time on doors that match the service area's building stock - a lot of 1980s and 1990s torsion setups, some older side-mount jobs from the late '60s and '70s mixed in.

Hardware changed across decades

That matters because the hardware changed over those decades, and knowing which door you're looking at before you open the panel saves a second trip. We work across the named communities inside the Everett service area, from Port Gardner a mile out to places like Monroe, Arlington, and Granite Falls further afield.

Cold moderate climate effects

The climate here runs cold and moderate rather than extreme, which shapes what actually breaks - we're not dealing with desert heat warping panels, we're dealing with cold mornings and damp hardware.

Assessing door before quoting

We size up the door, the opener, and the age of the house before we quote anything, because a repair on a 1970s door and a repair on a 2000s door aren't the same job even when the symptom looks identical.

Common jobs

What We Are Called Out For

A gray house with a white garage door and a porch with pink flowers.

Broken torsion springs are the most common call, especially on doors from the 1980s and '90s stretch of the housing stock where the original springs are finally giving out after decades of cycles. Cold mornings bring out stiff rollers and openers that strain to lift a door that's heavier than it should be because the balance is off. We see a fair number of openers failing outright rather than doors - remotes that stop syncing, logic boards that quit in damp garages. Cable and bracket failures show up more on the older side-mount setups from houses built closer to 1968 than 2000. Across a service area with over 140,000 households and a good share of owner-occupied houses, the range of ages and prior repairs is wide, so we don't assume anything about a door before we've looked at it - a quote over the phone is a rough number, not a promise.

Getting Hold of Us

A brown paneled garage door is on a brick house with pink flowers.

Call (425) 225-4806 to get on the schedule. We're based at 2817 Wetmore Ave, Everett, WA 98201, and we run calls out from Port Gardner and Bayside a couple miles off, through Snohomish, Mukilteo, and Lake Stickney, out to Monroe, Arlington, and Granite Falls further on. If you're not sure whether you're in range, call and ask rather than guessing. We don't do same-day emergency dispatch promises we can't back up - if a part needs to be ordered, we'll tell you the realistic timeline instead of a number that sounds better on the phone.

Questions

Common questions

Do you work on garage doors outside Everett itself?

Yes. We cover the wider service area, including places like Snohomish, Mukilteo, Machias, Silver Firs, and out as far as Monroe and Arlington. Call and give us your address and we'll tell you straight away whether it's in range before you book anything.

My house was built in the 1970s - will parts for my door still be around?

It depends on the door and opener brand. A lot of the service area's housing went up between 1968 and 2000, so we deal with older side-mount torsion hardware regularly, but some original parts on the oldest doors are genuinely hard to source and replacement ends up being the better call.

Do you install new garages or build out openings?

No. We work on the door, track, opener, and related hardware for openings that already exist. If your job needs new framing or structural work, that's a contractor's job, and we'll say so rather than take it on.

What's the most common repair call you get?

Broken torsion springs, especially on doors from the 1980s and '90s stretch of the local housing stock where original springs are finally wearing out. Stiff rollers and opener failures on cold mornings come in close behind.
